Yes, i know I'm late on this, but according to the Big East's pre-season media poll, the Scarlet Knights are projected to come in dead last, 8th place.

Rutgers got 33 points total, trailing the Louisville Cardinals by 27 points for 7th place.

West Virginia got the nod to win this season.

Anyway, this Rutgers football team this year is very differant from last season.

Don't forget that the Scarlet Knights lost Eric LeGrand in the middle of the season. That had to effect how the Scarlett Knights played because their record when he left was 0-6.

Also, Frank Ciginetti was signed to take over the offensive coordinator role to play more of a "Pro Style" offense, and not the "Wild Cat" offense.

Coach Schiano has made a lot of changes after last season, and it's only fair to recognize what he is doing. He has revamped his defense, and has recruited top players in New Jersey that could help bring this team a Big East trophy.

It's also fair to say that the Media chose the rankings by the standings last season. I'm pretty sure this is the 2011 season, not the 2010 season. Anything can happen in college football, better yet, the Big East.

Luckily, TCU won't be playing in the Big East until 2012, leaving Rutgers one more season to get stronger and better before they have to play a top 5 college football team.

All in all, this Rutgers Scarlet Knight team is way better then last season, and they will prove it.
